Pause time mods stardew valley
Aside from Time Speed (Cantorsdust), I installed some additional mods, mostly cosmetic and for crops/recipes expansion. I didn't know Stardew Valley had a modding community until I searched for it. In order to create my dream "cottage" life, I resorted to mods. It felt like I half-assed things even when I did everything I was supposed to. The 8 seconds = 10 in game minutes put such a pressure on me, it caused the opposite effect it should: I was stressed, nervous and frustrated by the end of the day. I needed time to water my crops, wander around the forest aimlessly and enjoy the seasons. If I wanted a hectic game, I would play a FPS. It was so unreasonable quick! I dropped by 2 stores and one villager's house, and the day was already over!Īnd I don't know you, but to me, a casual game like a farming game is supposed to be relaxing. Upon creating a new farm and playing around a bit, I finally realized what I disliked in the game: the day duration. I would dedicate myself to playing this farming game.
My bf suggested me to play Stardew Valley again, singleplayer. I wanted the latest Animal Crossing so badly, but alas, who has the money to buy a nintendo switch nowadays? However, the quarantine made me extremely bored, and no amount of Skyrim, The Sims, Monster Hunter or The Witcher was enough to captivate me. There was something about that game that didn't appeal to me.
Over the past 2 years, I loaded my saved farm a few times, just to quit the game a couple of minutes later. I considered deleting it more than once, especially when my computer was low on hard disk memory because of a documentary I was editing. The game's icon on my desktop haunted me. We've only played for 2 times and abandoned the game after that. I first bought Stardew Valley a couple of years ago, because my bf asked for us to play multiplayer. This is just a small confession from someone who only started liking this game after modding it a bit.
